He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn, who is over all creation.For in him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers: All things were created through him and for him; and he is before all things, and all things have their being in him. And he is the head of the body, the church, he who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that he might be first in all things.For it pleased God to make all fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, making peace through him by the blood of his cross, both things on earth and things in heaven.
